SOFTWARE PACKAGING INTERIOR

For my interior, I wanted to show the new/enhanced functions. The images are taken from Adobe CS4 Photoshop website because I do not have the actual CS4 application. My concept follows the graphical treatment. on the cover, it's its original size, the interior is larger, and the back is the largest.

SOFTWARE PACKAGING BACK COVER

For my back covers, I really wanted to keep it simple by having just info and no photo imagery. I would rather have that in the interior flap. The very bottom of the back cover is left empty because Im going to put the Adobe logo terms and conditions and other logos.

SOFTWARE PACKAGING COVER REVISED

So I went with the medium folds and now I have 3 layouts for each application. I wanted to keep with the same color identification for each application, but with 1 accent color that stands out: analogous blues for Ps, analogous oranges for Ai, and analogous purples for ID. The 1st column is the basic layout Adobe uses. The 2nd column is with the title in the middle-ish. The 3rd column is similar to 2nd column but with 3 reflections representing a 4 corner fold.

SOFTWARE PACKAGING AD THUMBNAILS

(Clockwise) Starting with the top left. This concept is based on my paper folding graphics and is basically a flower sprouting out of the ground, but everything is made of this paper folding graphics, or maybe just some and the rest is a photo. The next image is based on the perception of an eye. Their will be cross sections of graphics that divide the eye's view of art and stuff. Next is returning to my rorschach concept but with the graphical treatment of used in my cover. Next is two arms reaching out for the new CS5 on a display window. The graphical treatment on the arm will increase as it gets closer to the window. Next are the 3 boxes with a mystical cloud of design elements merging together with each cover's cloud thing. Next are the boxes exploding of the paper folding graphics. Basically, my overall concept was to show some sort of visual explosion to symbolize the creative mind.

SOFTWARE PACKAGING COVER REVISED

I have chosen the paper fold concept for my cover. What I have been working on is adding depth/dimension to the graphics because the original was too flat. Here, I have 2 version of depth for each graphical treatment. To me, its looks like a double vision effect and almost has a psychedelic trip feel.

SOFTWARE PACKAGING COVER

I went with the paper fold/origami inspired design for the cover. It's avery simple and elegant design that I think will be a pretty good design for a series. So far, this is just a first draft, but I'm hoping to make it more detailed in some way. The first design on the left is an unfolded paper pattern. The second design is abstract shapes that resemble a close up of origami. In both designs, I tried using different hues and colors to give dimension and depth. The title is what Adobe is using right now, but I'm thinking about designing a new one because, I think, CS1 and CS2 have the same title design and CS3 and CS4 have the same title design. So, I guess Adobe is changing it up every 2 series. Iono.

SOFTWARE PACKAGING

I have chosen to design packaging for the Adobe CS5 collection because of its creative background in both software and in packaging. I t will be a challenge to design for something that has succeeded so well in design, so that is why I am taking on this brand.
