I have chosen the paper fold concept for my cover. What I have been working on is adding depth/dimension to the graphics because the original was too flat. Here, I have 2 version of depth for each graphical treatment. To me, its looks like a double vision effect and almost has a psychedelic trip feel.

I like the first set, second one over. the bottom ones seem to be getting too busy although they could work. They all really look good but it would depend on the other packaging and what colors you go with then because these colors are really calm together so they bring this pleasantness to your design. However when you get into designing for Illustrator that might not be the case because its orange. I'm not sure. I think you will ultimately see all the packaging together to see when it truly gets busy.

The two that are at the top corner to the right are the most visually appealing. There's something intriguing about the negative space that it creates and the design is so intricate. Reminds me of Picasso's Cubism with a contemporary touch. Great stuff! =)

I like the one on the top left corner, the others have too much going on. I would drop your design and type lower to leave some negative space.
ReplyDeleteI like how you are using the origami feel to your take on adobe photoshop. The first set of design are much cleaner and less busy.
ReplyDeleteI like the second one, the other ones seem to get a little too detailed for the viewer to really see what it is. I get lost and just stare it wondering where I should look. But overall, great design.
ReplyDeleteVery cool designs. I would go with the one on the right in the bottom row - it seems more cohesive and the colors are a bit darker which gives the piece more contrast.
ReplyDeleteI like the third one over on the top... starts to get a little more detailed but not over the top. These are turning out really well. They look good.
ReplyDeleteI like the first two on the top left, the others feel like there's a lot of things going on. Maybe the third also, it's visually interesting but not too busy.
